Eden Prairie Center expects hundreds of families to be on hand to guide Santa’s sleigh to the mall on Friday.
“Following the first snowfall of the year, Santa and his reindeer are returning to Eden Prairie Center for the holiday season,” according to a news release. “Children will be equipped with jingle bell bracelets to help guide Santa’s sleigh, pulled by two live reindeer. After the reindeer drop off Santa, children and families are welcome to say hello to them. Meanwhile, Santa will make his way inside the mall to start his visits with eager children. It will be a delightful evening full of treats and fun.”
Santa is set to arrive at 6 p.m. Friday, Nov. 14, at the Barnes & Noble entrance of the mall, 8251 Flying Cloud Drive. Children can pet the reindeer from 6-8 p.m. Santa will also be available for visits and photos following his arrival in the lower level Sears Court.
On Monday evenings from Nov. 17 to Dec. 15, pets are welcome at Eden Prairie Center to take their photo with Santa, the release said. Eden Prairie Center is opening at 6 a.m. the day after Thanksgiving, with some stores opening as early as 4 a.m. this year.
