C.H. Robinson, headquartered in Eden Prairie, has received the “Seven Seals” and three “Patriot” awards from the State of Minnesota for Employer Support of the Guard and Reserve (ESGR).
C.H. Robinson vice president Jim Larsen, who accepted the award on behalf of C.H. Robinson, said in a news release, “This award is a tremendous honor for C.H. Robinson. We are very proud to support our colleagues who make sacrifices for their fellow citizens and are committed to contributing to the betterment of our country. Our company culture places a lot of importance on service to community, and our employees that serve in the Guard and Reserve have earned our highest support and respect.”
The Seven Seals award is given in recognition of an individual or organization for taking a leadership role that promotes the mission of ESGR. The Patriot award recognizes supportive employers and is given out on behalf of the U.S. Department of Defense.
Capt. Les Hoffman, C.H. Robinson’s Minneapolis National Accounts (MiNA), account manager, nominated the company and individuals for the awards. Hoffman has been with C.H. Robinson for over a year and has been involved with the armed services for over nine years. Hoffman has been called back to active duty for the armed services and will be leaving in December.
Fred Willman, C.H. Robinson MiNA branch manager; Mike Neitzel, MiNA account development manager; and Matt Babcock, MiNA special handling manager; each received a Patriot award, in recognition of their support to employees who are involved in the National Guard or Reserve.
