A Quality Bicycle Products facility tour will be part of the Nine Mile Creek Watershed District’s 2008 Summer Education Series.
Quality Bicycle Products has LEED (Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design) Gold certification from the U.S. Green Council and also has been awarded the Carbon Buster Award from the State of Minnesota. When company officials were asked why they decided to go green, the response was that the company has always had a strong environmental culture and because it’s just the right thing to do, according to a news release.
The Nine Mile Creek Watershed District Summer Education Series Quality Bicycle Products Tour is open to the public and is planned for 6:30-8:15 p.m. Aug. 13. Tour attendees will meet at 6:30 p.m. at the Quality Bicycle Products Facility at 6400 W. 106th St. in Bloomington.
