EPHS DECA members finish in top 10 at Nationals

The team of Christine Greening and Casey Collett, along with individual competitors Katie Osberg and Andrea Zaleskas, finished in the top 10 at the recent International Career Development Conference in Atlanta, Ga., on April 26-30. Seven members of Eden Prairie DECA attended the event including: Osberg, who competed in the area of sports and entertainment marketing; Lindsay Naylor and Tanya Rusinko in buying and merchandising management decision making; and the teams of Christine Greening, Casey Collett and Adrienne Clairmont, Andrea Zaleskas in the Internet marketing management decision making event.

According to a news release, “DECA is a high school marketing organization designed to prepare students to further their education in business and marketing and to help them gain career skills that will put them ahead of their competition in the job market. DECA concentrates on developing leadership skills, career awareness, and poise and professionalism in business situations, and teaches students about the important role business plays in the community by actively involving students in community service projects.”
