WCCO meteorologist Paul Douglas has been let go as part of round of layoffs from CBS.

Douglas is an Eden Prairie resident and in one interview, described his position as, "a cross between a scientist, and a comedian and a therapist.”

He’s been a prominent advocate for taking action to address climate change. Plus, he seems like a really nice guy.

According to Star Tribune story [1], he apparently doesn't even get to come back for a goodbye.

It's a tough time out there for anyone in the media business, but it's really unfortunate when someone as talented and well-liked as Douglas gets the shaft.
