Terry and Pam Elfering of Eden Prairie announce the engagement of their daughter, Tara L. Elfering, to Magnus Johansson, son of Hans and Marianne Johansson of Skanör, Sweden.

Tara graduated from Eden Prairie High School in 1996, received her bachelor’s degree in politics and government from the University of Puget Sound in 2000, and then, her juris doctorate degree from Willamette University College of Law in 2003. She is now practicing products liability defense at Shook, Hardy & Bacon LLP in Miami, Fla.

Magnus graduated from Lund University in 2004 with a bachelor’s degree in financial and management accounting and a master’s degree in advanced financial and management accounting. He is now working as a senior financial analyst for Sony Ericsson in Miami, Fla.

The wedding will take place on Sept. 13, 2008, in Malmö, Sweden, at St. Petri Church and Svaneholm Castle. The couple will then reside in Miami, Fla.
