Sochenda Te submitted the following story about her sister in honor of Valentine’s Day:
“My sister, Sopanha, who is preparing for the bar exam and a career in law, met her husband, Bjorn Anderson, who is a Navy Pilot, at Eden Prairie High School. They started dating in college, she was here at the University of Minnesota and he was out in Annapolis, Md., at the Naval Academy. During all of the years they were dating, they always thought that they met in high school. However, one day they realized that that was not true. A family member was looking through old grade-school class photos and discovered an old nursery school class photo [from The ABC Nursery School at Immanuel Lutheran Church here in Eden Prairie].
“It turns out that my sister and her husband met each other many, many years before getting to high school. There in the photograph, sitting in the middle row together, side by side, were my sister and her husband. Neither my sister or her husband ever realized that they were in the same … class. Today, they are living the military life. He is based out of Washington State and is often deployed participating special missions while she is starting her career in law. The photograph just goes to show how amazing the world works. Some things just happen by sheer coincidence and you end up with a beautiful relationship like my sister and her husband.”
