Members of the 1996 Eden Prairie High School football team plan to celebrate the 10-year reunion of the school’s first-ever football state championship on Friday, Sept. 29, prior to the start of Eden Prairie’s Homecoming game against Chaska. An on-field celebration is scheduled for 5:30 p.m. For those that don’t remember, Eden Prairie won back-to-back championships in 1996 and 1997, defeating Blaine both times, 23-22 and 32-28.
