Saturday, the Eden Prairie High School volleyball team won its Eagles Invitational.

En route to a title, Eden Prairie defeated Litchfield (2-0), Perham (2-0), Mayer Lutheran (2-0), and Alexandria (2-0).

Thursday, Eden Prairie defeated Cretin-Derham Hall 3-1.

“We can play/beat good teams,” said Eden Prairie Head Coach Chad Becker, “but we’re going to have to do a certain way. Since we don’t have that big hitter we can rely on, we’re going to have to wear teams down and either way for an opportunity or wait for the other team to make a mistake.”

Eden Prairie opens Lake conference play tonight, at home, against Lakeville South (7 p.m.).
