The Carver-Scott Humane Society has set its second annual Pedaling for Pets Poker Run on Saturday, Aug. 29. Bicyclists (age 21 and older) can sign up for this event which visits Chanhassen, Excelsior, Tonka Bay and Deephaven.

Riders collect playing cards by stopping at five designated businesses along the route. The person with the best poker hand wins a grand prize. For more information about the event, visit www.carverscotths.org or call 952-368-3553. All proceeds benefit homeless animals.
