Hopkins High School nurse named Nurse of the Year
Bobbi Pointer has been named the 2009 School Nurse of the Year by the School Nurse Organization Board of Directors. Pointer is the school nurse at Hopkins High School. This award publicly recognizes school nurses in Minnesota by annually honoring one school nurse who demonstrates excellence in school nursing practice and leadership in school health. Pointer’s knowledge, dedication, leadership, and passion for the health and academic success of her students has earned her this prestigious award.
Look for your fall adult and youth community education catalogs
Fall Adult Enrichment classes are currently online, or in the fall catalog that was mailed in late August. Classes range from art to cooking, fitness, and money. Check out more than 150 classes today, and try something new.
Fall Youth Enrichment & Parent Education classes begin, Monday, Sept. 14. Families with elementary children should check their students’ backpacks for their catalogs in early September, or check online. Get your child involved in classes such as Fencing with MN Swordplay, Mad Science, volleyball, Power of Drawing, and many more.
