 The Shakopee Lions Club and St. Francis Regional Medical Center are sponsoring a FREE Adult Diabetes Screening at Cub Foods in Shakopee on Saturday, May 17th from 10:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. The screening is made possible through a generous donation from the Shakopee Lions Club to the St. Francis Foundation.

A barn dance will be held at the historic Riley-Jacques barn, 9100 Riley Lake Road. The event will feature Shake These Bones, with Bob Walser and Julie Young. Tickets will be available at the door for $5 for adults, $3 for children, students and seniors.

Tomato, watermelon, carrot, pear, and even rhubarb wine are possible.  Local homemade wine maker, Clarence Johnson, shares his knowledge, tips and tricks behind the mystery of homemade wine making.

Do you want to socialize your small breed dog (15 pounds or less) with other dogs? This group meets at 7 p.m. Thursdays at Nesbitt Preserve Hockey Rink, 8641 Center Way. Mothers Against Drunk Driving (MADD) will be hosting its second annual 5K walk, Walk Like MADD, to be held in Bloomington on Saturday, June 7, 2008 at 9:00 a.m. at the Hyland Lake Park Reserve. Walk Like MADD is a 5K, non-competitive walk that enables corporations and individuals to team up with MADD in keeping our children and communities safe.

The Minnesota Antiques Dealers Association Show just gets better and better. This is the 4th year in the Fine Arts Building at the State Fair Grounds in St Paul. This beautiful building is a perfect setting for a Shoe and Sale featuring items for every interest from jewelry to furniture, and from Ancient Oriental to Mid-century Modern.
