The Minnesota Highway Safety Center offer a course from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. Jan. 8 at Summit Place Senior Campus, 8501 Flying Cloud Drive, Eden Prairie. The Newcomers Club of the Southwest Suburbs will hold its monthly luncheon at 11:30 a.m. Tuesday, Jan. 8, at Salut Bar Americain, 5032 France Ave. S., Edina. Following lunch the group will “be searching for some great after-Christmas bargains in the charming shops at 50th and France.” Carpools will leave from the ground-floor level of Von Maur’s parking garage at 11 a.m. RSVP to Elise at 952-975-3629.
