Eden Prairie residents Garrett Blythe, Anna Rask, Nick Van Heest, Michelle Stevens, Spencer Toy and Erica Wipperfurth were among the Southwest Christian High School 2009 graduates receiving more than $2.1 million in academic and athletic scholarship offers for post-secondary educational opportunities, according to a news release from the school. Two from the graduating class of 44 received full appointments to the U.S. Naval Academy and the U.S. Air Force Academy.
Southwest Christian High School is a grade nine to 12 college-prep high school in Chaska. “It is an independent, inter-denominational Christian school serving 161 students and families representing more than 40 area churches and 25 communities. Utilizing a discipleship model of Christian education for academics, fine arts, student leadership, service and athletics, SWCHS helps students to think critically and act biblically in their world,” the release said.
