“The October edition of Democratic Visions features a discussion between Hennepin County Commissioner Jan Callison and host Tim O’Brien about light rail transit in Hopkins, Minnetonka and Eden Prairie and probable cuts to programs at the Hennepin County Medical Center,” according to a news release.
Tom Casey of West Metro Global Warming Action Group discusses “why Minnesotans should oppose nuclear energy provisions in the U.S. Senate’s Kerry/Boxer clean energy and jobs bill. The program concludes with State DFL African-American Caucus co-chair Bill Davis. Davis, a DFL presidential elector, provides perspective on racism-laced media and political attacks on President Barack Obama and the encouraging local response to a recent night of hate crimes in Brooklyn Park,” the release said.
Democratic Visions is produced by volunteers through DFL Senate District 42. The series airs at 9 p.m. Sundays and 5:30 p.m. Wednesdays on Comcast Channel 15 in Hopkins, Minnetonka, Edina, Richfield and Eden Prairie. The program can also be seen on www.dflsd42.org/ and YouTube’s “Democratic Visions Channel.”
