Nothing shameful about ELO. I keep hearing their song "Hold on Tight" in that Honda commercial and they still stand the test of time.

Okay, you gotta share atleast one example of "shameful music."
I'll admit I own and continue to occasionally enjoy some ELO. Don't know if that's shameful, but it's a little bit cheesy.

I've been spending my time organizing closets, putting up shelves, and grocery shopping. Next on my list... photo albums, I've got 3 years of photos to put into albums and there's not going to be a better time than now.

I've been purging my iPod of some of the rather shameful music choices from days gone by. TO stay warm though, I've contemplated starting a hobo fire with my old magazines.

Drinking lots of coffee (or iced pop) and surfing YouTube is probably another solid activity for this kind of weather.
I'm a fan of digging up old music videos on YouTube. Duran Duran "Rio" video is a classic.

I like to keep pop in the garage so it's a teensy bit icy when you drink it. Small pleasures.

Cooking for Dads' Rob Barrett suggests making ice sculptures! Click below:

Here's what Public Works

Here's what Public Works Director Gene Dietz wrote when asked about the most important things people should know about the new ordinance:

1) The city did not enact the ordinance to save money. City crews are doing almost an identical amount of trail and sidewalk snow removal, but the priorities have shifted to higher volume streets. The goal is to have a better winter pedestrian system overall with the help of residents doing the snow removal on residential streets.

2) A program called Home Outside Maintenance for the Elderly (H.O.M.E. @ 952-888-5530) is available for sidewalk snow removal assistance for residents aged 60 and over on a sliding fee basis depending on income. Neighbors are encouraged to offer assistance to those in need.

3) The city is not going to fine anyone. Rather, on a complaint basis, after 24 hours has elapsed, the city will give another 24 hour notice to resident to remove the snow or the City will do it and bill the resident.

4) As always, please don’t blow or shovel the snow onto the streets from driveways or sidewalks.
