H1N1 shots at the Friday clinic are to be available to more people, according to a news release from the county.

Below is information from the news release:

Hennepin County is offering H1N1 flu vaccine to a broadened range of recipients this Friday, Nov. 20, from 2:30 to 7:30 p.m. at New Hope Church, 4225 Gettysburg Avenue, New Hope.

The special vaccine clinic now will offer H1N1 flu vaccine to: children ages 6 months through 9 years (the clinic’s original target group), children 10-18 years of age with chronic health conditions (asthma, diabetes, lung conditions), pregnant women, and children and adults who live with, or provide care to, infants under 6 months.

Both the nasal spray and shots will be offered but supplies of both are limited.

Children in the 6 months through 9 years age group will need a second dose of the vaccine about four weeks after their initial vaccination.
