EP soccer teams win section openers

The Eden Prairie High School girls and boys soccer teams, seeded No. 1 and No. 3 in their respective section tournaments, won first round games on Thursday. The EPHS girls team defeated Prior Lake 2-1. They play their second round game at home on Saturday (1 p.m.) against Burnsville. The EPHS boys team defeated Chaska 3-0, scoring all three goals in the second half. They now face Eastview, at Eastiview, on Saturday (2 p.m.).
