We all have a busy life. Running here or there or hurrying off to work, not to mention the after work activities. We think of the people we love but it seems that we never have time to tell them that we care.

I told you that I had writers block and could not find the words even for a letter to my friends and family back in New York. I haven’t written to them in quite a while but they are always in my thoughts and heart. If only they would know that. But how would they know. To them it’s an out of sight out of mind thing.

I have started a letter home several times but have never finished it. I even went out and bought large envelops to send some of the copies of the clippings I meant to send but never did. Christmas came and left, then Easter, where has the time gone?

When I met my x, my parents were already gone and I really liked his parents. We developed a close friendship that lasted longer then their son. When his dad died I cried. Though I was not told about it until after he was buried. I really wanted to have been able to say good by to him.

When I moved here to Minnesota I wrote to his mother several times and she would call me once in a while, as she had a problem with her hands and it was hard for her to write.

I haven’t written to her in a long time. It was either nothing much to say or too busy or the writers block.

I just got word today that she had passed away last Saturday. She was ill for a few months before her passing. I feel so bad. I should have written to her. Even if it was just a card saying Hi I’m thinking of you. Now I will never get a chance to write to her again. Though I know her spirit lives on, and I am sure she will pop in to see me every now and then, it’s not the same. I feel like I lost my mom again.

I am bound and determined to write to my family and friends tonight and mail it out tomorrow. It’s too late for my x’s mother, but it’s not too late for my other friends and family.
