Minimum wage hike

» Read similar stories filed under:

Democrats in Congress are looking to raise the federal minimum wage from $5.15 to $7.25 an hour.

Supporters say: It's a wage hike for those who need it the most.

Those who oppose it say: This will lead to job losses because employers won't be able to hire more people.

In Minnesota, the minimum is set between $5.25 (for smaller businesses) to $6.15 an hour.
