Oscar snubs

I haven’t seen all or even half of the films nominated for Academy Awards, so, I really have no room to talk.

But.

I’m still going to complain about the usual array of stuffy choices.

First off, original song and original score nominees annoy me. Why isn’t the band Spoon anywhere on the list? Spoon did an original song and score for “Stranger then Fiction.”  An awesome song and an awesome movie receive no nominations. Blah.

Why is “Borat” up for Adapted Screenplay? If there is a “Borat” novel out there, I’d love to read it.

I think Sacha Baron Cohen should have been nominated for Borat. That's acting. I don't care if it isn't written down.

And "Dreamgirls" not getting nominated for best picture is a snub, although I thought the transitions from speaking to musical numbers were a little clunky.
