Flying CloudThe city says the policy has not changed from being neutral to supporting expansion of the Flying Cloud Airport. What do you think? Should the city focus on positive aspects the airport offers and try to promote it to interested businesses?

I think the City is right on...
Back to page topI think the City is right on this issue. Nothing has changed. It is the MAC (by law) that decides when to make the runway longer, update the hangers, etc., not the City. The City Manager told the public what he said on the trip. The two other City officials who were with him, one a City Council Member, all reported the same discussion. Single issue people are making relationship meetings into something they were not. I for one am happy our elected officials and staff have good relationships with Federal, State and County officials. OIt can only help our City.
So, what is the big deal? Nothing has changed. There is no excuse for Zero Expansion's over reaction to the City Council and City Manager. Zero Expansion should be the one to apologize and retract their materials.

According to budget...
