I think that the new fees are good for the majority of us taxpayers that will never use it so we don't have subsidize the operating costs. Several members of the council have told me that having the city provide internet wireless access to public would be wrong because it would compete with the private sector. This despite the fact no private sector provider offers the service. There are numerous private sector health clubs that the community center competes with. I think that the city should sell or lease the CC to a private sector firm. Perhaps they will be able to lower the fees and still make a profit.
