The Eden Prairie Budget Advisory Commission has put together its recommendations for the 2007-2008 budget. The City Council will hear those recommendations at a 5 p.m. workshop this Tuesday, Aug. 21. You can take a look at those recommendations by clicking on the attached document. The recommendations include suggestions such as moving the senior center operations to the new Community Center and smaller wage increases for city employees.

Back to page topIn terms of social services, the BAC recommendations take a step back from the proposed budget cuts. The BAC recommends that staff review services provided by housing and community services “with an emphasis on those which duplicate those available from other organizations or are deemed nonessential.”
The proposed budget would cut two staff positions in that division and reduce human service grants by 40 percent over two years.
