Rob Barrett's recent Cooking for Dads Youtube show about making ice bowls looks easy -- simply fill a bowl with water, duct tape a smaller bowl inside and put a few rocks in that one, then set the whole works out on the deck for the night.

But looking at the comments made me realize that in many parts of the country, freezing a giant sculpture of ice isn't possible simply by sitting it outside.
