Attorney Christopher Renz announced Monday he will not criminally charge Eden Prairie Mayor Phil Young in a case involving the mayor’s meeting and mileage reimbursement record.
The investigation, which first came to public light two months ago, has led some residents to call for the mayor’s resignation while other voiced support for Young, who is up for re-election this fall.

Motorists will experience delays and a detour at the Fish Lake Interchange in Maple Grove as the ramp from eastbound Interstate 94 to southbound Interstate 494 closes at 8 p.m. Friday, July 16.
Posted detours will direct motorists to continue on eastbound I-94/I-694 to the southbound Highway 169 interchange loops to westbound I-94/I-694 and then to southbound I-494. The ramp will reopen by 2 p.m. Sunday, July 18.
Question remains whether ‘Money’ ranking brings in the money

Seminari happened to be at the Eden Prairie Community Center as Eden Prairie City Manager Scott Neal arrived with balloons and cake Monday morning to celebrate the announcement that Money magazine had ranked Eden Prairie as No. 1 on its list of the top small cities in which to live.
Eden Prairie has been named the No. 1 place to live in the country by Money magazine.

Eden Prairie’s VISI is hosting and sponsoring the annual “Fringey Awards,” an online video contest for Fringe performers which allows the public to get a sneak peek of the performances.
Laura Beam, Marketing & Communications Manager of the Eden Prairie Chamber of Commerce recently completed her second year at Institute for Organization Management (Institute), a four-year nonprofit leadership training program at the University of Wisconsin in Madison.
The Rasmussen College School of Technology and Design welcomes two new faculty members to its campus in Eden Prairie. Information systems management program instructor Peter Haakonson and multimedia technologies program instructor Anand Hurkadli “bring extensive industry experience to the increasingly popular programs offered through the School of Technology and Design, which focuses on cutting-edge degrees in areas anticipated to see the highest career growth in their fields,” according to a news release.
