 3rd District debate is Wednesday
February 25, 2008 - 9:00am — Karla
DFL Senate District 42 is hosting a Third Congressional District DFL debate with State Sen. Terri Bonoff; Edina Mayor Jim Hovland and Iraq war veteran and attorney Ashwin Madia. The three are vying for the DFL endorsement. Republican candidate Erik Paulsen has also announced his intention to run for the seat. “Join us as our candidates for endorsement debate how to defend and build America in the 21st Century,” the group stated in a news release. The debate is set for 7-9 p.m. Wednesday, Feb. 27, in the Heritage Rooms at Eden Prairie City Hall, 8080 Mitchell Road, Eden Prairie. Topics are set to include, the economy, healthcare, education, building a green economy, transportation and infrastructure, Iraq and Afghanistan, anti-terrorism/emergency management, dependence on foreign oil and securing our borders, according to the release.
